It is a pleasure to see that not all of our young people are going down the tubes. Chris Webb is 28 years old and he is a candidate for mount vernon's city council. Mr. Webb in 2004 ran for MV'S board of ed won and distinguished himself as someone whohe weighed the issues and voted for what,he felt, was the best option for the community. It is a shame that the news media has not felt that his candidacy is important enough to be reported. If he was gang banging, robbing or selling drugs it might be a differant story.
